Studio Vukosavljević

Studio Vukosavljević is a production platform dedicated to the realization of musical

projects conceived by composer Ivan Vukosavljević.

Its artistic ambition is to look beyond existing musical infrastructures and to advance a
broader vision of the contemporary composer: one that unites the diversity of today’s cultural
landscape into an artistic practice characterized by the integration of the knowledge,
traditions, and sensibilities of musical worlds that rarely, if ever, cross paths.

Its long-term objectives are:

1. Innovation and diversification within contemporary and classical music culture
Through high quality co-productions with partners from different spheres of the musical
landscape, the studio seeks to expand the possibilities of contemporary music making. Its
artistic foundation originates in Vukosavljević's existing body of work in which diverse
musical worlds, historic and contemporary, intersect and are brought into meaningful
dialogue. A baroque harpsichord specialist may appear alongside a synthesizer player; an
underground experimental guitarist alongside an organist; a sarod player alongside a classical

string ensemble.

These encounters are not approached as stylistic collage or crossover. Rather than preserving
their boundaries or dissolving them into fusion, the studio embraces a multi-polar artistic
practice in which these musical worlds converge within a single compositional imagination.

2. Cultivation of a collaborative ecosystem

At the heart of the platform lies an expanding ecosystem of musicians, ensembles, sound
engineers, producers, labels, and other cultural workers. Through this ecosystem, the studio
aims to cultivate a more sustainable and mutually supportive collaborative model between the
composer, performers, and cultural institutions such as ensembles, festivals, and venues.
Responding to the increasingly fragmented position of independent composers and musicians,
it seeks to reinforce artistic continuity by enabling long-term collaborations with selected
musicians and ensembles, while allowing each production to develop with a high degree of

artistic independence.

Through these projects, the organization seeks not only to bring together different musical
traditions, but also the audiences that accompany them, and thus create a meeting point
between the musical communities that have formed around these traditions.

A musical instrument does not merely produce music; it expands the horizon of what music
can become. The studio seeks to become such an instrument: to create the conditions in which
different musical idioms, each with their own inflection, may be heard in relation to one
another, and where that relation itself becomes the source of new works and ways of engaging

with contemporary musical culture.
